To celebrate the National Gallery’s 200th birthday, join Neil Pittaway RWS for a comprehensive introduction to the National Gallery’s collection of watercolours and learn how to take inspiration from the great watercolourists to create your own watercolour painting.
In this workshop you will learn how to see, select, and record aspects of the works in the National Gallery, to create your own watercolour interpretation. You will be shown how to use a variety of different compositional and watercolour techniques which will include composition and subject focus, colourways of light and transparency, dark and light including glazing and layering techniques.
Suitable for all levels of ability including beginners.
This workshop will take place at the new RWS Gallery on Whitcomb Street, just off Trafalgar Square and at the National Gallery.
