The RWS website
The copyright of all content comprising or contained on the RWS website remains with the Royal Watercolour Society and other copyright owners, unless otherwise stated in the label accompanying an image.
Images of artworks that remain in copyright (the artist is alive or died within the last 70 years), the copyright remains with the artist, their estate or nominated rights holder.
The RWS Collection
Established in 1804, the RWS began its collection with diploma works donated by artists upon their election as Members, spanning from 1860 to the present day. The RWS Collection can be viewed at Art UK.
For high-resolution images of the works in the RWS collection, small numbers are available to license from Bridgeman Images. The income generated from these purchases helps us maintain our Collection.
Some low-resolution images of public domain artworks can be shared and reused, and are available for downloading from the Art UK website.
