Julia's notes:

In the oldest part of the building (which may well be beneath the pavement of Whitcomb Street) are the small vaulted storage spaces. I was told this is where produce was once stored to supply markets and shops. The remaining enamelled number plates are very elegant. These spaces are now used for storage.
