Olive Haigh

RWS GUEST MEMBER FROM 2025 - 2027

Olive Haigh is a multi-disciplinary artist with a playful, surrealist approach to storytelling. Her work often features mischievous characters and a wry sense of humour, balancing lightheartedness with deeper themes. Olive draws inspiration from the dreamlike worlds of Remedios Varo and Leonora Carrington, as well as the music of Björk, Nick Cave, and Joanna Newsom. Also a musician, Olive’s background includes a decade of experience in the arts, from Assistant Curator at the Royal West of England Academy to appearing as a featured artist on Portrait Artist of the Year in 2023, where she painted Ainsley Harriott in watercolours.
